Yolynne’s 2008 Productivity Report


Happy Holidays to Everybody!

A lot has happened during the year of 2008.  I would like to list down the stuff that I did last year, just to create a summary of the tasks that had been accomplished.

January 2008

Delivered a talk at QITC 2008 in Cagayan de Oro, organized by the Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan IT students.

March 2008

Went to Tagaytay and attended a Cisco Conference

April 2008

My Superior went on indefinite leave and I got promoted to be in charge of the Office

Took the Licensure Exam for Teachers and passed it

May to August 2008

Was adjustment period for me and for all my co-workers in the office. We were pulling all possible strategy to keep it going and be stable and thank God all our hard work and prayers are slowly paying off.

September 2008

Delivered a talk on  Introduction to FOSS usage and Ubuntu in Isabela, Basilan organized by the Comtecians

Conducted training on DBMS for LGU’s in National Computer Center in Zamboanga City


October 2008

started attending meetups with fellow Zamboanga Bloggers

November 2008

Went to Antipolo to attend the FOSS4SME Training of Trainers organized by IOSN and InWent, then spent some days in Makati with cousins

December 2008

Went to San Jose, Dinagat Province and conducted training on Database Management System for Dinagat Province LGU’s courtesy of the National Computer Center FOO.

So far, these are the things that I can remember, I’ll update this to link the related events with the blog posts that I did.
