Open Letter of Appreciation to QITC staff of Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan

I’ve been busy since December and one of the things that kept me working is QITC which stands for Quantum IT Convention which was held at Country Village Hotel in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.

It was a memorable learning experience for me to deal with nice and fun kids at the Convention. Online mentoring… surely made things easier for all of us.

Although I have a different personality when it comes to organizing events (I’m a Obsessive Compulsive organizer hehehe in other words.. “Tera” ako hehehe), I hope the kids had fun too and were able to get some wisdom from my talk and that of the other speakers.

Special thanks to Aileen Apolo of Google, JM Ibanez and Calen Martin Legaspi of Orange and Bronze for their presence, they readily agreed to my invitation and gave their services pro bono =) Dibale, that means you are adding good karma in your lives.

I am also happy to have finally met online friends Matt Baluyos, Romar Micabalo aka Hardwyrd and Richard Baldisan

It was my privilege to have met Syntactics CEO Stephanie Caragos (one of the women power in IT) and her COO John Kaamino and Dabawenyo blogger Jun Macarambon

The kids wrote me a sweet letter and I would also like to post my reply here for all who had been a part of the event to read.

To all those who attended, thank you po!

P.S.
All the presentations of the speakers can be found at http://qitc.xu.edu.ph and all pics are at http://qitc.multiply.com and http://yolynne.multiply.com

To: All QITC Organizers and Staff

Thanks for the kind words…
The experience will always be memorable to me.

I hope you’ve learned a lot from the process and that you’ll be able to
find your true selves and passions in life earlier than I did.

Always  keep on remembering that you should always look back where you came from, be proud of your culture and your heritage.

Be proud to be Visayan speaking people.
Be proud to be Kagayanons.
Be proud that you are Filipinos.

Excel in your future professions so that you can also give back to the future generation what you all have learned.

I am proud to say that I am impressed at how all you young people were
able to pull it off even with less supervision from your moderators.
The experience will always be a factor in building up the kind of
persons you all will become.

Again.. good luck to everybody and am looking forward to future collaborations.

God Bless!

lots of love from Zambonga,
Ate Yolynne

    Hi Yolynne,

Pardon my very late reply. I was really really busy after the event. I was in Benguet for five days conducting training, then flew again to Davao to do deployment for 5 days yet again.

Thank you also for coming by CDO and inviting JM Ibanez, Calen Legaspi, and Aileen Apolo. I wasn’t really expecting to be one of the speakers and I think it was a last resort?🙂 But it was fun nonetheless. Sadly I wasn’t able to meet Jun Macarambon.

I was also glad to have met again Ms. Hanie Caragos, John Kaamino, Matt, and Richard (g0m4).

    Regards!

    Hello Yolynne,

Ikinagagalak kitang makasama habang nilalakad natin ang mga mumunting daang natatabunan ng mga puno ng Ateneo de Cagayan.

    Nice to meet you Yolynne!

    Hanggang sa susunod na pagkikita…
