Happy Independence Day to you, Philippines!
June 12, the day we celebrate our country’s Independence.
So strong has the words Independence and Freedom affected the modern day Juan and Maria.
More and more Filipinos now feel so attached to their Independence and privilege to exercise the right for Freedom of Expression and now… the most controversial Freedom of Information.
Regardless of how much some of my countrymen complain, I won’t join the bandwagon. I have so much to hope for, so much to be happy and thankful for. I count my country’s blessings and strengths rather than concentrate on the weaknesses.
So proud I am of being a Filipino!
