Catching Up with stuff!

I am off to Cebu on Sunday for a 2 week training…but we still need to verify tomorrow that it will push through or else… I've got no option but to change my route to Manila and have the training there instead.
Am reading the Planet Ubuntu when I came across the blog of Benjamin Mako Hill, am glad to know that he is already getting married to his Japanese girlfriend.
Doing some open source surfing when I came across this one from http://beerandspeech.org/index.php?/archives/184-Advocacy-Get-Legal-with-OpenOffice.html
Now OpenOffice have launched a "Why: Get legal - Get OpenOffice.org" page where they are playing on the fact that Microsoft are getting tougher on licencing cheats. Do you know where your copy of Office came from??
Fortunately, there is a completely legal and free alternative. OpenOffice.org 2 is a fully-featured office suite, similar in functionality to MS-Office. OpenOffice.org 2 does everything you need: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and much more. It can even use MS-Office format files (.doc, .xls, .ppt), so you don't need to re-type your work. What's more, it does things MS-Office does not, such as create pdf files to give to other people.
